“There has never yet been a man in our history who led a life of ease whose name is worth remembering.” – Theodore Roosevelt
I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the way I live my life. What got me started was a family member asked how it was living the easy life. Hmph, they just don’t get it and probably never will.
You see it’s no secret that I live life on my terms. I travel a lot, I play a lot and I have a lot of fun. But easy? I don’t stress about things. They are what they are and nothing more.
I don’t get worked up about a lot. Maybe it’s my martial arts training and maybe it’s something I’ve learned from mentors. Either way, I’ve learned to relax when chaos rears it’s ugly head. I believe my life is simple. That’s why it may appear to be easy to some.
People who search out the easy way aren’t going anywhere. Because, they don’t want to do anything. Easy doesn’t necessarily translate to results.
People who search for simple ways are looking to get the job done, but in an efficient manner. Simple doesn’t translate to lack of results. Just the opposite. Simple means you get results, it may be easy maybe not. But it does get done.
The seekers of simplicity can get more done with less effort and stress, leaving more time to do other things.
I’m able to spend time with my daughters, working out, writing in my journal, reading, playing golf or pursuing any one of the many things that I enjoy in life because I look for the simple way to get things done. It’s more efficient and frees me up to explore other interests.
Keep this in mind in your pursuit of “the good life.” Don’t look for the easy way…look for the simple manner in which to achieve your goal.
Success is a simple doing. The choice is uniquely yours.
The best is yet to come!
